The grapes for this vintage were grown in a particularly hot, dry year - producing one of the best vintages in the 20th century - comparable with 1921 and 1959.
Medium orange in colour, this Riesling Auslese has notes of dried peaches and ripe apples, as well as slightly smokey slate aromas in the aftertaste.
Medium to fruity in profile, it this white wine has apple and marzipan notes in the finish.
