"Chewy and substantial and gutsy. A gastro rosé scribbled with spices and filled with real, raw, red-skinned fruit."
wine writer for Jancis Robinson
Vineyard: The grapes for this Rosé Cuveé were grown around Schweigen area on the German and Alsatian side. The soil there is rich in sandstone and limestone, and the vines are between 10 and 50 years.
Vinification: This Cuveé is a blend of Dornfelder, Portugierer and Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes were carefully selected by hand and gently pressed after a short maceration period. The restrained fermentation and the further expansion took place in stainless steel tanks. After eight months on fine lees and gentle filtration, it was bottled in June 2022.
Wine: This dry Rosé's lively acidity is complemented by its subtle fruit sweetness. It has elegant aromas of fresh stone and yellow fruit, as well as citrus, raspberry and rosehip, making it a perfect, uncomplicated wine to enjoy on the terrace and as a companion to food.
