From healthy, ripe grapes becomes the best wine, the best ambassador of its origin. After gentle, selective hand-picking and gentle pressing, the quality that comes from the vineyard is only preserved and shaped in the cellar - "Top quality through controlled idleness".
The location is exclusively planted with Riesling and the up to 4m thick, pure loess soils provide the vines in sufficient form with nutrients and minerals. Small grapes from (up to) 60-year-old vines of this filet piece of the Rheingau guarantee a quality that lies outside of any comparison.
Intense, full-bodied nose with aromas of candied apricots and dates. On the palate an enticing sweet flavour that lasts a long time. This successful Trockenbeerenauslese will develop the full variety of flavours only in the next few years.
