For our estate Riesling “Grauschiefer” the grapes get harvested in our single vineyard sites Niedeshäuser Steinwingert and Rosenheck. The soil is characterised by very large slate plates, which store heat very well.
The Riesling grapes of this wine were harvested by hand in the first half of October after a very long period of vegetation, after two selections. After a mashing time of approx. three hours the grapes were gently pressed and partially fermented with natural yeast under temperature control.
Ray slate mineral, classic Riesling fruit, juicy, fresh and elegant.
Alcohol: 12,0% vol.
Res.sugar: 6,9 g/l
Acidity: 7,1 g/l
