A full bodied Pinot-style Chardonnay. This wondeful wine shows buttery flavours but also a warm aroma of walnut and even a hint of melon. It had a long-lasting, rich aftertaste.
This Chardonnay is produced from vines that are 25 years old in the Nahe wine making region. The small yield was only about 50hl/ha and picking took place in the middle of October.
The crushed grapes were left in contact with the skin for 24 hours before they were pressed. The1200 litres of wine was fermented in toasted oak casks and the yeast was stirred twice a week during maturation until the following May.
An excellent accompaniment for veal, filet wellington and asparagus with hollandaise sauce.
