A very light top note of popcorn, which blows off quickly, leaving light pear aromas. Again, like his Scheurebe, defined by a nervy fine-pointed acidity. This really trembles on the tongue, sweet pear and melon in a delicate mien. Probably one of the most racy, etched and high-wired Pinot Gris that I have ever tasted. Laible knows how to play acidity like a maestro on a violin. Without the richness of some, but pure thoroughbred. (Written by Tamlyn Currin – JancisRobinson.com)
Boskop apple accompanied by mirabelle plums and apricots. Baroque appearance. A lot of melting and very juicy on the palate. Great finish.
