Bercher, 2009/10 Pinot Gris Kabinett dry x 4 bottles - Baden
Descriptor: Fermented and aged in big old casks for about six months. A beautifully smooth and integrated and creamy wine. No sign of the oak despite its youth. Smart bright fruit, white but verging on gold. Crisp and almost luscious with a hint of spice. Really very very good. All those Italian Pinot Gris eat your hearts out. This is real wine.

Schloss Reinhartshausen, 2010 Estate Riesling dry x 4 bottles – Rheingau
Descriptor: The character of the bouquet is rich with gentle hints of fresh, green apples and apricots. On the palate he shows strength, refinement and marvellous aromas. A refreshing, hearty Riesling with a long finish.
Friedrich Becker, 2009 Estate Pinot Noir dry x 4 bottles – Pfalz
Descriptor: Pale, almost terracotta-tinged ruby. Vibrantly sweet cherry gives enormous easy appeal on the palate with a rather more serious jacket of spice and soft but sure tannins. Delicious, and very hard to put down. The kind of wine I’d love to have to hand in my wine rack at any moment’s notice.
